Flowers for Suzi

I put these flowers together the other day, they are for a girl who just lost her brother to cancer. They where sent by her book club. I hope she finds comfort in the flowers and especially in the love and support of her friends that care so much for her.

Rachel's Wedding

Rachel was married yesterday. When we had a consultation she made the big mistake of telling me she was getting married in a barn. I had so much fun finding barn like elements for this wedding.  Like I got to wrap the boutonnieres in twine. Also I used soft ruffly types of flowers to give her bouquet a modern county feel. I really enjoyed this wedding and feel so blessed to have worked with so many wonderful brides, like Rachel.

The Flower to Die For

I love peonies. In fact they are my favorite flower of all time! I love everything about them. The smell, color, and petal count. I like to consider myself a non-girly girl but I think I am a little bit in denial because peonies are a very girly flower. oh, and the fact I am totally in love with BBC Victorian dramas. I guess that qualifies me as a semi-official girly girl. Anyhow this gorgeous bloom sprang forth in my front yard. I planted it last spring and this spring it has three huge blossoms. One in which I put beside my bed so I could smell it when I first wake up in the morning. I have decided that my life would be complete if when I die peonies where used as my funeral flower. I know you really don't get to pick these kind of things, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that I die in the spring : )

Baby Shower

I did some fun flowers for a baby shower last week. When the host of the shower asked me to do the flowers I wasn't expecting this color scheme, but the mother to be is Latin and she wanted something with a bit more flair than pink flowers.

Ranunculus

Spring flowers are the best!! They are delicate and so beautiful, and seem to welcome in one the very best seasons. These beauties are one of my very favorite,  Ranunculus. You can only get your hands on them for about 2 1/2 months out of the year and they have hundreds of tissue paper like petals.  The first spring after I was married I planted a bunch in our front yard only to realize that when it warms up they die. I have had a lot more luck buying them from the wholesale florist : )

Candice

Candice is a really fun redhead. When we had our consultation I was a bit surprised to learn that her wedding colors where neutrals.  When everything came together her choice made perfect sense her wedding was beautiful, and really reflected her.
